Devika

Devika is known for a distinct vocal tone and soulful performances. She has released two top-selling solo albums and has been featured on compilations by Sony Music and Saregama Music India alongside artists such as Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and A. R. Rahman.

She learned Hindustani classical music while growing up in India. After moving to the US for undergraduate studies, she began experimenting with a fusion of Indian classical and folk melody and lyric with contemporary sound and production. She writes and performs in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.

Her tracks have been featured on The Buddha Bar compilations and submitted for consideration in the Grammy Best Global Performance category, and have been remixed by Karsh Kale, Midival Punditz and Bombay Dub Orchestra.

Her collaborations include Ek Tera Pyar, Dil, Beparwah and Phir Ek Tera Pyar with Bohemia; Jaaniya, Holle Holle and Mast Qalandar with sarod maestros Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash; work with Mike Klooster of Smash Mouth; and Wisteria with producer Michael Brook.
